We used to have an air conditioning unit, but when we left our old house we gave it to my sister-in-law, for it consumes most of our monthly budget. Electricity is very expensive here in the Philippines. Me and my kids have to endure the summer heat in exchange of not having to pay additional 2-3k to our electricity expense. But my hubby opposes and wants me to buy air conditioning ASAP. But before I do, I have to research first on how I can have it with a lesser cost. In my research, having furnace filters will lessen the costs. It will also make the air more clean and reduces the risks of our family getting sick. I’m just waiting for the money from the hubby to buy one.
If you already have an aircon and installed filters, here’s the tips on changing such: 1″ thick – change every 4-6 weeks 2″ thick – replace every 2-3 months 3″-5″ thick – replace every 4-6 months.
