longest friendship

I miss my BFF Gart. We’ve been friends since we learned how to talk. Officially our friendship is the longest I have…I guess 30-32 years? Always had each other’s back, since God knows when. We accept each other as it is, no “if’s and but’s”. She’s been with me through thick and thin, happiness and sadness. Like my other BFF Jen, she believes in me more than I believe in myself.

I may have had added a lot of friends in my life but nothing beats the friendship that we and will always share. I still remember our picnic’s, the street games that we always play as a pair, running in the rain, biking around the neighborhood etc. Seems like yesterday.

We have our own families now. Not just the make believe game of having our dolls sleeps in our arms. She’s far away and now living abroad. But the good thing that there are a lot of available audio and web conferencing that we can always use to be connected in each other’s live even if we are miles apart.

You always be my soul sister GIDGET! I pray that the Lord will keep you and you family safe always. Love you

Life long dreams

Now that I am old, and my life span is becoming shorter and shorter every year (ha ha!), I am thinking of pursuing my life long dreams. I have Four.

First dream, I want to have a boutique carrying one of a kind Womens Clothing, because I really love fashion and there was a time that I made a lot of sketches of gowns and imagined to be a fashion designer.

Second dream was to be a professional make-up artist, which I feel like one whenever I get paid doing someone’s make-up…except when I do make-up for my niece Jovy..which is always free..haha. Erase, erase, erase I was given a discount when I asked her to buy me a longchamp bag when she went to Europe…that is because of my services…hehe

Third dream is to be a singer-slash-hollywood actress, which I know will never happen. Even if I do a “Lady Gaga-like” facade…hehe

Fourth and last is that I want to be a professional photographer…this I know would be a much easier task to realize. But then I need to do those courses if I really want it to happen.

My point is that life is too short. There’s a time of doing what we need to do, but there’s also a time to do what we love. And the time for me to do what makes me happy is now….or never.

It would be a shame not to try.

I accessed my account in picnik.com awhile ago, sad to learn that the site will be closing this April and will soon be in Google+. I really love this site. goodbye office work

I will be resigning from my work as a Facilities Coordinator with Cisco in two weeks time. Because the hubby will work aboard a ship, I will now be handling the grocery store. I have no choice, but if I did, I want to keep my job as I have tried really hard to get where I am right now in my career. But then, resigning from my work would mean that I can have a lot of time with the kids and be there for them as soon as they got home from school.

I can also have more time with my blogging, maybe I can accept more work as an events coordinator and a make-up artist…haha..as if I can go out when I run the business. The store is open from 7am to 8pm, so I’m stuck and will have no time to go out.

Anyways, now I need to have a translucent plastic business cards made. I am starting a new chapter, I need this to set the mood and accept reality..haha. Good luck to me!

My first born, Josh, will soon be graduating from elementary school this coming March. I can’t believe that I will have a kid in highschool already. How time flies, and now I feel old. I guess the only advantage of having a family at an early age is having my kids finish their education in a time that I can still enjoy my life and see the fruit of my labor…hehe.

I am excited of the graduation but at the same time sad that the hubby will not be able to attend the rites as he will be joining a cruise ship in two weeks… sniff!

Now all I can do is send him a box pf discount acid cigars to congratulate him of doing a good job of being a good father and that we have finished 8 years for our eldest, another 8 years and were done with Josh’s education. Yippee!

Opppsy, the cigars should be a secret. Hmmm…wonder if I should also send him a robe…haha.

game addict

My two boys are now certified game addict like their dad. I have been strict on them using the computer to control their urge but now that their cousin have a lot of ps3 games , they want to sleep over whenever they don’t have classes. I have asked the hubby to lead by example and not to show the kids when he play games on his phone, so that they won’t think that its ok or answer back “papa play games all the time “.

When I am at home I impose a no TV, no laptop hour and encourage them to read books. When they get the hang of it they can stay reading for long hours. After that when they have finished all their chores I give then 1 hour each of game time, imagine how big their smiles are.

Mango is still on-sale (stared Dec 14) on all their branches so you still have a chance to grab those items that you love which is now up to 70% off. Gone to MOA and Rob Manila, but there is more to choose from at Rob. Well atleast when I went there…hehe

I’m old. Maybe I am abnormal. People usually feels great when its their birthday..but not me! Oh no not me, for I feel that its my doomsday! Since I reach 20 (not so long ago..haha) I stopped counting, and the more the number keeps adding on, I feel more inadequately old.

But to be honest, today I don’t feel as grumpy as my pasts birthdays. Maybe my weird self already accepted the fact that whether I like it or not, I’m gonna be old and wrinkled.

I spent my day wrapping gifts, shopping, wrapping gifts, and then dinner at Aling Tonya’s at Seaside, Macapagal.

Here’s to me growing old! Cheers old age!

Unlucky me

Christmas is also a season for raffles. I have attended 2 Christmas parties with tons of amazing items, gift certificates, and cash prizes, but what the heck that I have’nt won anything? Last time I won was year 1997, brought home a touch lamp that is long gone and trashed.

You know the excitement of waiting for your name to be called, praying and thinking after every name that ”It’s ok I still have a chance, the grand prize is still up for grabs!” , but then after the last prize is called and it’s not you, I get dissapointed…haha

When will my time come?

I guess it runs in the family, as long as I remember my pop always send entries to this cigarette raffle and not even won a cap or an umbrella.

Maybe I should consider getting an “anting-anting ” or something..hehe

parking problem

Yay, my husband’s family has acquired another car. The problem is they don’t have parking spaces so they need to rent out. His brother has car-rental business so parking space is really a problem. If they park in-front of the house ratio of it being scratched or bumped by bikes and other vehicle is really high as the street is not that wide. So I told them, what if we purchase auto lifts? Well, that would save a lot of parking space. Now their bugging me on getting a quote on how much it will costs..hehe.
